What exactly is ALPHA? Some sort of grain?
No, that's alfalfa. ALPHA is a free course that meets on Sunday nights for 10 weeks. During each session, we have a darn tasty dinner, listen to a non-churchy talk, then break into smaller groups for dessert and discussion in a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere.

Who runs Alpha? Organized religion scares me.
The ALPHA small groups are led by volunteers so the vibe is kicked-back and relaxed. And, there's not a robe or pew in sight.

Who goes to ALPHA? Super-Chrisitans?
Quite the contrary: people curious about Christianity, atheists, singles, married folks, new Christians, computer programmers, seekers, newcomers to Hollywood Pres, agnostics, college students, Christians who want a refresher course, chefs, and even guys with goatees.

What's the "real" reason people attend ALPHA? Are they hypnotized?
People attend out of their own free will for a ton of reasons: to investigate whether God exists, to seek meaning in their lives, to meet other new Christians, to understand the power of prayer, to consume their weight in brownies - to name just a few.

How do I know if ALPHA is right for me? My life is very busy.
Life is hectic. But why not give ALPHA a try? If you con't like it, no sweat.
